You would think the Nords would instead cremate the dead rather than leaving them to be possessed by malefic spirits to then walk around and kill people, no?
I just thought of an interesting fan fic for Skyrim. The Epic Of Dragon Priest Draco.
Found when he was just a babe by Paarthurnax, he was raised by the powerful dragon as his son and when the time came he became a Dragon Priest and ruled over the city that would become Markarth. Do to having been raised by one of the greatest dragon that ever lived, Draco was easily the most powerful of the priest in the way of the Thu'um. He was also a fair and just ruler, who was loved by his people. This lead to great jealousy from the other Dragon Priest, who in their petty envy whispered in Alduin's ear that Draco was planning on overthrowing the Dragon King.
In response Alduin decided to kill two birds with one stone. For at the time this was happening a human rebellion was forming in Skyrim, so the Dragon King had Draco attacked by powerful mages and warriors disguised as the rebellious. The battle between the assassins and the Dragon priest and his followers was long and fierce but eventually Draco was over whellemed and killed in his own throne room along with his wife and daughter.
Alduin was then able to convince Paarthurnax that his adopted son was murdered in cold blood by the evil human extremist and in his rage, the gold dragon helped his king fight the rebellion. It was only until far into the war did Paarthurnax learn that it was Alduin who had his Draco killed, which is when he turned against the dragon king.
Then when Alduin was thrown into the time stream by the Elder Scroll, Paarthurnax flew to the temple he had built for his human son and sacrificed part of his immortality so that Draco could rise once more to take revenge against Alduin when he returned.
That sounds pretty rad! The only thing that bothers me is the name of the son Draco it just sounds too classic maybe a name made from the dragon language
I was going to name him Dracula since it means "Little Dragon" in Romanian, but I felt it would make people think of, well, Dracula and which in turn would lead to Vampires and the Dawn Guard.
