Having played D&D, Skyrim, and countless other RPGs, I look at areas like this and go "Well, let's see, trap there, trap there, sinking stone there, quicksand there, probably a freshwater kraken or something equally nasty in the water..." It's rather delightful really. Mind if I show this to my D&D group and make an encounter based around it?
I like the contemplative simplicity of this scene, it's very soothing, with a feel that it's been like this for centuries, untouched, unseen, ancient and forgotten... only Kyne remembers, and she is everywhere.
I don't know if you've ever played Shadow of the Colossus, but I am getting a heavy vibe of that in this picture. If you have never played SotC, I highly recommend it. The art directive is right up your alley
Nice and quiet as you walk over that pressure-sensitive plate, but all Hell breaks loose when Lydia stumbles over it; which more than likely triggers one of those massive spike walls and sends it directly into your face. Then you remember you took the Sneak perk that doesn't trigger traps when you walk over them.
Hmm, don't think I've ever been to this place. Is it inside of one of those caverns? I might have been there. But yeah, it is very peaceful, and quiet....too quiet. Quite beautiful though. Another superb work you have here.
